Hunter Wellington Boots - Gumboots

By

Whilst out walking today, there was a little boy of around 3 years old, running up and down in his gumboots through puddles in the footpath. His dad there, watching and both laughing and giggling at the magic of a puddle and a pair of gumboots. Which made me think of how I need new gumboots for winter. (Im in Australia and we are heading into winter.)

So, the best gumboots Ive found are Hunter wellingtons made in Britain by Royal Appointment.

Hunter wellington boots made by the first made by the North British Rubber Company, started by Mr Henry Lee Norris in 1856, growing into Hunter Boots Ltd with 4 staff increasing to 600 within 10 years.

Hunter wellington boots are known for their quality. Hand made with 28 parts, lined inside and inspected and given not only the Hunter Stamp, but also having the Royal Warant of both the Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

The history of these luxurious, yet practical boots, worn by royalty and soldiers, farmers and day trippers alike. Having been worn in the trenches in World War 1 and 2, with over 1,185,036 boots worn in World War 1.

The Royal Warant is a seal of approval as a supplier of goods to the Royal Family. The Duke of Edinburgh gave his approval of Hunter Boots in 1976 and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth gave hers a few years later.
